Snow Day STEAM Project – Freezing Bubbles! (1/4/2022)

What a way to start off 2022 – with TWO SNOW DAYS in a row!  Just because our sites are closed, that doesn’t mean the learning has to stop.  Today, we’re mixing science and snow days with this Freezing Bubbles activity!

This bubble mix can be made using ingredients you have laying around the house:

  • Water
  • Corn Starch
  • Dish Soap

Once you have your bubble mix made, bundle up and head outside.  Create the bubbles by putting a straw into the container and blowing until they bubble up.  Watch what happens when they hit the below-freezing air!

Click HERE for the full activity from Little Bins for Little Hands and to learn the science behind bubbles.

Have a great time on your snow day, and we will see you bright and early tomorrow morning.  We can’t wait for your kids to tell us what they learned about BUBBLES today!
