The weather is warming up, and we have the perfect outdoor activity that combines art and science (physics, to be specific) – pendulum painting!
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to teach your child physics. In fact, you only need a few supplies:
- Foam or Paper Cup
- Scissors, String, Tape
- 2 Chairs
- Broom handle
- Sidewalk Large (Or to take it inside, some paper, plastic tablecloth or other drop cloth)
- Washable sidewalk paint ingredients (corn starch, water, washable paint in as many colors as you want)

This project is a blast, and one that you and your child will want to do over and over again… Get super creative, and have a ton of fun learning together.
We’ll see you right back here next Saturday for another STEAM Saturday activity! Scroll through the rest of our website to learn how Critchlow Adkins is Building Brighter Futures for the children and families we serve!
