It’s Spring, and since you and your kids will be spending lots more time outside, we wanted to share this awesome activity that will provide fun all the way through summer! Today, you’ll be making your own shape bubble wands. This will help your little one to learn shape recognition and a little bit of bubble science while they are enjoying the ever-exciting activity of blowing bubbles!
All you need to make your bubble wands are:
- Wooden chopsticks or another sturdy stick
- Pipe cleaners
- Tape
- Bubble mix
Bend your pipe cleaners into the shapes you want, leaving two inches free on each end. You can use very basic shapes, or you can challenge your child to come up with more complex shapes. Then twist the pipe cleaner around the chopstick, which will act as your wand handle.
Take your bubble wands and bubble mix and head outside to play! Before your child uses each wand, have them guess what shape bubble it will create.
