STEAM Saturday – Simple STEAM! (9/7/2024)

Simple STEAM Project Title Image

If you’re looking for some simple STEAM projects for your elementary school-aged child, the awesome educators at We Are Teachers have compiled a huge list of quick prompts that your kiddo can complete using items found around your home!

We’ll share some of our favorites below, but you can check out the full list here!

Build the tallest tower with uncooked spaghetti and mini marshmallows

Use newspapers and masking tape to build a table that can hold a cup full of water

Find a new use for a cardboard box. You can use scissors, masking tape, and crayons, too.

Design a kite that really flies using a plastic grocery bag, drinking straws, string, and scotch tape.

Assemble a stack of 10 plastic cups. Then find three different ways to knock the stack down without touching it with any part of your body.

As always, get as creative as you want, and above all, have lots of fun learning together!

We’ll see you right back here next Saturday for another STEAM Saturday activity!  Scroll through the rest of our website to learn how Critchlow Adkins is Building Brighter Futures for the children and families we serve!
