Easter season means Peeps season, and who doesn’t love those ooey, gooey, colorful treats?? In honor of the marshmallowy-est time of year, the fun folks at Little Bins For Little Hands rounded up NINE engaging Peeps science activities that you can do at home with your child!
- Explore the science of chemistry when you combine peeps, corn starch, vegetable oil, and hot water to create Peeps Slime!
- Learn about buoyancy and density when you find out what it takes to make Peeps sink in water!
- Have a lesson on solubility when you experiment with how Peeps dissolve in different types of liquid!
- Can Peeps fly? You’ll find out (and learn all about Newton’s Laws of Motion) when you make a Peep catapult!
- Test the effects of heat on your Peeps while creating a gooey, melty Peeps rainbow!
- Test the effects of cold on your Peeps when you discover whether they can be frozen solid!
- Add jelly beans to the mix when you have your future engineer use jelly beans and toothpicks to build a house for your Peeps!
- Explore the five senses! Have your child document what a Peep looks, sounds, feels, smells, and tastes like!
- Sculpt a whole world out of Peeps when you combine them with flour and Crisco to make Peeps playdough!
As always, get as creative as you want, and above all, have lots of fun learning together!
