When you designate a gift to Critchlow Adkins Children’s Centers in your estate plans, you assure Critchlow Adkin’s future, improve children’s lives, and benefit our community for generations to come.

Possible vehicles for a planned gift are:

Bequests

You can name Critchlow Adkins Children’s Centers in your will with a designated amount or by naming a percentage of your estate for the gift. A bequest allows you to make a meaningful contribution without reducing your resources during your lifetime, and your estate receives a tax deduction when it is settled. A bequest is simple to set up, will not affect your current lifestyle, and can easily be modified to meet your changing needs.

Charitable Gift Annuities

You can name Critchlow Adkins Children’s Centers in your will with a designated amount or by naming a percentage of your estate for the gift. A bequest allows you to make a meaningful contribution without reducing your resources during your lifetime, and your estate receives a tax deduction when it is settled. A bequest is simple to set up, will not affect your current lifestyle, and can easily be modified to meet your changing needs.

Life Insurance

If you have a life insurance policy that you no longer need, donating it to Critchlow Adkins may allow you to take advantage of a charitable tax deduction. For a paid-up policy, you’ll benefit from an income deduction equal to the replacement value of the policy or the tax basis (premiums paid on the policy up until the date of the gift), whichever is less.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

You can transfer cash, securities or other property to a trust and name Critchlow Adkins Children’s Centers as the charity to receive the remainder. You receive an income tax deduction and pay no capital gains tax on assets transferred to the trust. During its term, the trust pays a fixed amount each year to you or any person you name. When the trust ends upon your death, its remaining principal passes to Critchlow Adkins.

Please contact your attorney, accountant or financial advisor to help you plan the legacy gift that suits you best.
