SUMMARY:Annie!
DESCRIPTION:The Avalon Foundation presents the classic musical\, Annie! \nBased on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray\, Annie has become a worldwide phenomenon and was the winner of seven Tony Awards in 1977\, including Best Musical. The beloved book and score by Tony Award winners\, Thomas Meehan\, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin\, features some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written. \nAnnie tells the extraordinary story of a little orphan who ends up in the lap of luxury with Depression-era billionaire Oliver Warbucks. Unlike most of the other children at Miss Hannigan’s orphanage\, spunky Annie believes that her parents are still alive and will one day return to claim her. When Mr. Warbucks offers to adopt her\, she asks the most powerful man in America to help find her real mom and dad instead\, and he agrees. Warbucks’ whopping reward for Annie’s parents attracts the attention of con artists Rooster\, Lily and the wicked Miss Hannigan\, who hatch a plot to kidnap Annie and take the $50\,000 reward. But don’t fret: This classic family musical has a happy ending for Annie\, Daddy Warbucks and the whole gang. \nPacked with a score of unforgettable songs (Hard-Knock Life\, Tomorrow\, Easy Street\, Maybe\, and so many more!) Annie promises to delight audiences of all ages! \nJoin us for the Avalon Foundation’s annual holiday celebration and fundraiser starring over 140 of your friends and neighbors. All ticket proceeds go toward the Foundation’s year-round mission to provide diversified arts and educational programs that improve the quality of life here on the Eastern Shore. \nPERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:\nThursday\, December 10 – Doors: 6:30pm; Show: 7:00pm – RED CAST\nFriday\, December 11 – Doors: 6:30pm; Show: 7:00pm – GREEN CAST\nSaturday\, December 12 (Matinee) – Doors: 1:30pm; Show: 2:00pm – RED CAST\nSaturday\, December 12 – Doors: 6:30pm; Show: 7:00pm – RED CAST\nSunday\, December 13 (Matinee) – Doors: 1:30pm; Show: 2:00pm – GREEN CAST \nThursday\, December 17 – Doors: 6:30pm; Show: 7:00pm – GREEN CAST\nFriday\, December 18 – Doors: 6:30pm; Show: 7:00pm – RED CAST\nSaturday\, December 19 (Matinee) – Doors: 1:30pm; Show: 2:00pm – GREEN CAST\nSaturday\, December 19 – Doors: 6:30pm; Show: 7:00pm – GREEN CAST\nSunday\, December 20 (Matinee) – Doors: 1:30pm; Show: 2:00pm – RED CAST \nTICKETS: (fees not included)\nTier 1 – $40\nTier 2 – $35\nTier 3 – $25
